Tim Walz known as Elon Musk “gay” on Friday — however the Harris-Walz marketing campaign claimed the Democratic vice presidential nominee misspoke, resulting in the inadvertent remark.

“That guy, that gay guy,” Walz mentioned of Musk whereas speaking about taxes on the marketing campaign path in Michigan.

“I have no problem being called gay tbh,” the X, SpaceX and Tesla mogul replied to a reshare of the video from a consumer who known as Walz’s remark “beyond pathetic.”

The Harris-Walz marketing campaign instructed The Submit Friday evening that the Minnesota governor “stuttered” whereas attempting to say “that guy got.”

“Within the video, you’ll be able to hear somebody within the crowd yell ‘dips–t! when the governor brings up Musk,” a campaign spokesman said. “The governor started laughing and stuttered while trying to say ‘that guy got’ — he didn’t discuss with Elon as a homosexual man.”
