Flip-flop Fauci: The purveyor of doom and gloom

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The most recent flip-flop of admitted “noble liar” Dr. Anthony Fauci received immediate backlash, resulting in his reversal within 24 hours — possibly the fastest turnaround ever by the champion flip-flopper. It was also a reminder of why Americans’ distrust in government continues to rise.

During a CBS interview, Dr. Fauci seized on a suggestion by Margaret Brennan of “Face the Nation,” as she clutched her pearls, wondering whether this bureaucratic troll was going to allow Christmas to happen. He pretty much said COVID-19 would probably stop us from celebrating.

Margaret Brennan: “But we can gather for Christmas, or it is just too soon to tell?”

Dr. Fauci: “You know, Margaret, it is just too soon to tell. We have to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we’re going to do at a particular time. Let’s focus like a laser on continuing to get those cases down. And we can do it by people getting vaccinated. Also, in the situation where boosters are appropriate to get people boosted because we know they can help greatly in diminishing infection and diminishing advanced disease.”

The reaction reinforced my trust in the American people. There was swift outrage, mocking, and condemnation. It was so blistering, Smug Tony performed his fastest 180 ever by running over to CNN to accuse everyone of taking him out of context. No. He does know what he said was on TV, right?

Dr. Fauci on CNN: “That was misinterpreted as my saying we can’t spend Christmas with our families, which was absolutely not the case. I will be spending Christmas with my family. I encourage people, particularly the vaccinated people who are protected, to have a good, normal Christmas with your family. But … the way all of the other disinformation goes around, you say something talking about a landmark of a time, and it gets misinterpreted that I’m saying you can’t spend family Christmas time, which is nonsense. You can.”

“Misinterpreted.” Those damn lying ears of the simple rubes, it’s their fault they don’t understand the nuances of Tony’s musings. Someone should alert Smug Tony that we are way past sitting around waiting for this bureaucrat to issue his dispensation about what we can or cannot do. Here’s some basic science for Dr. Fauci: We see him for what he is.

There is something quite revealing about the entire shameful episode. Smug Tony knows he’s been positioned to be considered the bureaucratic ‘authority’ on COVID-19 to protect politicians who are relying on this unelected menace to be the frontman for their crisis tyranny.

It’s revealing that Dr. Fauci walked into issuing a statement about Christmas after Ms. Brennan packaged it for him in her question. He then stepped into it like a good boy having mommy point to where he should stand.

It reveals his remarks are committed to the establishment liberal narrative. If “Face the Nation” implies in its question that Christmas might have to be canceled, well, then he will comply. His reaction and advice to the nation was not predicated on science — it was reliant on what CBS News prepped him to say. His reversal confirms this.

After all, why didn’t Dr. Fauci simply say to Ms. Brennan what he said to “clarify” on CNN one day later? Because his mission is to maintain the fear and pain (allowing politicians a more prolonged crisis with which to push through monstrous agendas), and he expected compliance, not outrage.

Dr. Fauci’s reliance on lies has been on display since the pandemic began. He spun like a top on mask-wearing, vaccines, herd immunity, and when we can finally get back to normal. All have been changing positions for him, based on what the political agenda is at the moment.

For someone with such a tenuous relationship with the truth, it was not surprising to see in leaked emails that Dr. Fauci also misrepresented his opinion about the origin of the coronavirus itself and his close relationship with those funding and running the Wuhan lab in China.

One thing St. Fauci tends to not share with the American people is good news. That, of course, would ruin the establishment’s fear-and-doom narrative. While the nation’s leading fear-monger was trying to get you to become depressed about the holidays, Axios was reporting amazing news— for the two weeks from September 15-28 new COVID-19 cases fell by 25 percent. You read that correctly— down by 25 percent!

Axios reports that “experts are cautiously optimistic that Delta may have peaked and the U.S. may finally be headed toward getting the virus under control, and keeping it there, for the first time in 18 months.”

In all fairness to Smug Tony, he may not have time to prepare with the facts for his interviews because he’s too busy promoting himself. National Geographic has a book and documentary out about him (for which it insists he has not been paid), and a week ago, The New York Times was giddy with excitement. The newspaper’s headline? “Dr. Fauci, Movie Star: ‘Fauci,’ a new documentary, follows his work in two health crises: AIDS and the COVID-19 pandemic. He agreed to participate as long as it didn’t interfere with his work.”

When your work puts a legitimate ‘science’ face on a partisan agenda of fear and doom, we can confirm that nothing has interfered with that.
