4 arrested in one other Sunvalley Buying Heart theft —  all suspects below 18

CONCORD — 4 juveniles have been arrested on suspicion of theft Monday evening in what police mentioned was the second high-value retailer invasion by a gaggle of under-18 boys on the Sunvalley Buying Heart this month.

The arrests got here after police have been known as to the mall about 5:50 p.m.

In keeping with Lt. Robert Garcia, the officers stumbled on all 4 attempting to exit in numerous instructions. The suspects didn’t get far. All of them have been taken to Juvenile Corridor in Contra Costa County on suspicion of theft, Garcia mentioned.

Police recovered all the stolen merchandise, which had a mixed worth of $3,400. Nice Hill law enforcement officials additionally helped with the incident.

Garcia mentioned detectives are working to find out whether or not the 4 who have been arrested have been in anyway tied to a smash-and-grab housebreaking on the similar mall on Oct. 5. Seven folks have been arrested in that housebreaking. Six of them have been below 18.

Different high-value thefts even have occurred on the mall over the previous two weeks, police mentioned.
