SAN JOSE – A person died after being detained by officers Wednesday morning in San Jose, police mentioned.
Officers arrived to seek out the person “completely naked and acting erratic,” Garibay mentioned.
Minutes after officers took the person into custody, he started experiencing a medical emergency, Garibay mentioned, including that officers summoned paramedics and began life-saving measures.
The person was taken to an space hospital, the place he was pronounced useless, Garibay mentioned.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Workplace will launch the person’s identification as soon as it’s confirmed and his subsequent of kin is notified.
Per protocol, the Santa Clara County District Lawyer’s Workplace and the SJPD Murder Unit are conducting a joint investigation into the in-custody dying, Garibay mentioned.
