Over the weekend, The New York Instances reported that Weiss kicked off a gathering with the senior workers of “60 Minutes” by asking, “Why does the country think you’re biased?”

Hmm, perhaps as a result of President Donald Trump, the individual liable for you having a job you don’t have any enterprise having, spent the final a number of years howling about how modifying interviews is definitely election interference? Or perhaps as a result of The Free Press did the identical factor?

Weiss is correct to be fearful about bias, however not in the way in which she thinks.

A cartoon by Jack Ohman.

If Weiss desires to speak about bias, she ought to speak about how CBS mainly bribed the president to get a merger authorized. And nothing says “unbiased” like ensuring to personally e book the president’s son-in-law as one among your first huge “60 Minutes” visitors, proper?

Really, nothing says “quality reporting” like reserving your individual sister on “CBS Mornings Plus” to speak about lab-grown diamonds, which her sister additionally wrote about for The Free Press. And, oh yeah, Weiss is staying on as head of The Free Press too.

That form of looks like … bias?
