The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (6-2, 3-2) look to get again on monitor once they journey to Heardmont Park in Birmingham to face the Oak Mountain Eagles (3-4, 1-4) in a Class 7A Area 3 matchup Friday evening.
The Huskies, who dominated this matchup final October with a decisive 63-0 victory, enter the competition seeking to snap a two-game dropping streak. Freshman quarterback Jack Floyd has emerged as a dual-threat playmaker for Hewitt-Trussville, throwing for 128 yards with a landing and dashing for 109 yards on 20 carries in final week’s slim 24-21 loss at Prattville.
The Eagles are additionally driving a two-game skid, together with final week’s 41-0 shutout loss at Vestavia Hills. Oak Mountain will flip to sophomore quarterback Charlie Vacarella, senior operating again Marty Myricks and senior tight finish Joey Carbonie because the Eagles try and earn their second area win of the season.
