Yarn wigs for youngsters

The Magic Yarn Challenge is on the lookout for volunteers on Oct. 10-11 to make wigs for youngsters with most cancers on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Saratoga. No expertise is critical.

The occasion is in partnership with JustServe, a web based platform that matches volunteers with group service initiatives.

The free workshops are open to these 8 years outdated and up. The Friday, Oct. 10, workshop is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. On Saturday, there’ll two classes open to most of the people, from September 11 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. There’s a youth session from 3:30-5:30 p.m. for youngsters ages 11-18.

The church is situated at 19100 Allendale Ave.

Saratoga Neighborhood Watch teams are reminding dad and mom and kids to remain protected on Halloween evening with a handful of ideas.

They remind drivers to decelerate, keep alert and look ahead to trick-or-treaters crossing the streets.
