India and Pakistan engaged in a forwards and backwards on Saturday (September 27, 2025) night following India’s deal with to the United Nations Common Meeting (UNGA) within the afternoon. Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had, in his UNGA assertion, accused Pakistan, with out naming the nation, of being a hub of terrorism and emphasised that it was behind the Pahalgam terror assault in April. India additionally referred to Pakistan as ‘Terroristan’ in its reply.

Exercising Pakistan’s proper of reply, a diplomat for the nation accused India of maligning Pakistan and stated New Delhi had not offered proof to Islamabad about its involvement within the Pahalgam assault.

India responded to Pakistan’s intervention.

“It is telling that a neighbour, who was not named, chose to nevertheless respond and admit their longstanding practice of cross-border terrorism,” Rentala Srinivas, a Second Secretary at India’s UN mission stated, exercising India’s proper of reply on Saturday night.

“Pakistan’s reputation speaks for itself. It’s fingerprints are so visible in terrorism across so many geographies. It is a menace not only to its neighbours but to the entire world,” the diplomat stated, including, “No arguments or untruths can ever whitewash the crimes of Terroristan.”

Pakistan’s consultant made a second intervention, criticising India for distorting its title, calling it a “deliberate attempt to malign and insult an entire people”. He accused India of partaking in destabilizing neighbouring nations by way of its intelligence businesses.
