A 76-year-old man in England was arrested for allegedly giving boys at a summer season camp sweet laced with a sedative, prosecutors stated.
Jon Ruben, who appeared in a courtroom in central England on Saturday to face youngster cruelty prices, was ordered detained till a listening to on Aug. 19. He didn’t enter a plea throughout the temporary listening to at Leicester Magistrates’ Court docket.

Police say they acquired a report on Sunday that youngsters had fallen sick at Stathern Lodge, a transformed farmhouse with a sports activities corridor and catering services about 120 miles north of London.
Eight boys between 8 and 11 and one grownup had been taken to a hospital as a precaution. All had been later discharged.
Ruben was arrested on Monday at a pub close to the lodge.

Ruben, whose dwelling tackle is about 15 miles from the lodge, faces three prices of “wilfully assaulting, ill-treating, neglecting, abandoning or exposing children in a manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to health,” relating to 3 boys on the camp.
The lodge is owned by Braithwaite Gospel Belief, a Christian charity. Police careworn that the house owners “are independent from those people who use or hire the lodge and are not connected to the incident.”
